Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at an Ofsted-rated 'Good' school in Dudley. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs, enabling them to reach their full potential.

About the Role:

This is a highly rewarding role that requires a patient, empathetic, and adaptable individual who can establish trusted relationships with students. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that fosters the growth and development of every child.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with special educational needs in a variety of settings, including classrooms and one-to-one sessions.
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective support system.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students, promoting their social, emotional, and academic well-being.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to promote inclusion and diversity in the classroom.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs or a strong desire to work in this field.
  • The ability to follow Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) or other educational plans designed to cater to individual learning needs.
  • A genuine passion for making a positive impact on the lives of students with special educational needs.
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding to support students' diverse learning requirements.
  • A proactive and flexible approach, capable of adapting to various situations and challenges that may arise.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
