Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a SEN school in Wolverhampton. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers in SEN classes and contributing to the smooth running of the day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in SEN classes to deliver high-quality education to students with special educational needs.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery to ensure a constructive and positive learning environment.
  • Work closely with teachers, support staff, and other professionals to provide a comprehensive support system for students with SEND.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and inclusive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with SEND.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (unqualified candidates with experience in SEN can apply).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of AQA exam board and experience in supporting pupils with SEND.
  • Confident in supporting pupils with SEND and differentiating within the mainstream classroom.
