Lead Care Support Specialist
The Cambian Group
Salary: £13.09 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Lymington, Hampshire
Situated in a picturesque environment, our institution is dedicated to educating and supporting young individuals facing various communication, behavioral, social, and emotional challenges. Our students are intellectually capable, and we take pride in engaging each individual with captivating and enriching activities.
As a Lead Care Support Specialist, you will join a compassionate and skilled team, collaborating to assist our children and young people in realizing their full potential.
This role is dynamic and rewarding, and we seek dedicated, empathetic, and interactive individuals. Key attributes such as perseverance, resilience, and understanding are essential, as our young people may encounter difficulties in social settings and experience frustration. By spending quality time with them, you will have the chance to forge meaningful connections and witness the progress and development of each student through the support they receive.
You will also have the opportunity for personal and professional growth. Comprehensive training and support will be provided to help you achieve a nationally recognized Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification. Many of our team members who began as Support Workers have advanced into more senior roles, and we welcome those eager to advance their careers within The Cambian Group.
An Enhanced DBS check and reference verification will be conducted in accordance with government regulations and best practices for safer recruitment. While we strive to expedite the recruitment process due to the significance of these checks, it may extend the processing time. All young individuals are entitled to have their needs met fairly and equitably. Employees of The Cambian Group are responsible for promoting equal opportunities for all and for addressing any behavior or practices that discriminate against any young person or colleague based on race, religion, disability, age, gender, sexual orientation, or any other perceived differences.
We will perform online searches of shortlisted candidates as part of our safeguarding measures. This search will solely focus on assessing an individual's suitability to work with children. To prevent unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person not involved in the appointment panel will conduct the search and will only share relevant findings if they raise concerns.
