Community Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Community Safety Officer to join our dynamic team at Rotherwood. As a key member of our community safety service, you will play a vital role in reducing anti-social behaviour, hate crime, and domestic abuse in local neighbourhoods.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement harm-centered approaches to community safety.
- Conduct thorough investigations, gather evidence, and prepare case files for legal proceedings.
- Utilise various tools and interventions to prevent and address anti-social behaviour, domestic abuse, and hate crime.
- Collaborate with key partners to develop innovative solutions to community safety challenges.
- Complete risk assessments, action plans, and safeguarding referrals.
- Manage your own caseload, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
- Maintain a visible presence in neighbourhoods to foster positive relationships with residents.
- Accurately update IT systems and maintain detailed records.
- A strong passion for delivering exceptional service and helping customers improve their lives.
- A flexible and innovative approach to community safety.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work well within a team.
- Knowledge of housing legislation and legal processes related to social housing.
- Familiarity with crime and disorder legislation and best practices.
- Experience in early intervention strategies to resolve community safety issues.
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel) and meticulous record-keeping.
