Job Summary:

The Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Nurse to join our team as a Healthy Weight School Nurse. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of Manchester's children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of children and young people where weight is identified as a concern, providing evidence-based and safe levels of intervention.
  • Support parents/carers, young people, and children around healthy lifestyles, delivering the Healthy Weight Offer for their allocated caseload.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider school health team and partner agencies to support healthy weight in children and young people, as well as meeting statutory obligations around safeguarding.
  • Broaden your skill set in policy and strategy, caseload management, and multidisciplinary working.

About the Role:

This role presents a real opportunity to make a difference and have a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of Manchester's children and young people. As a Senior Nurse, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of children and young people where weight is identified as a concern.
