Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Nurse to join our team at The Christie NHS FT. As a Senior Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care, leading a team of nurses, and contributing to the development of our cancer services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Leadership
    • Lead a team of nurses in providing high-quality patient care, ensuring that patients receive the best possible treatment and support.
    • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures to ensure safe and effective care.
  • Team Management
    • Recruit, train, and develop a team of nurses to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high-quality care.
    • Manage the day-to-day operations of the nursing team, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.
  • Education and Development
    • Develop and implement education and training programs for nurses to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high-quality care.
    • Contribute to the development of our cancer services, including the design and implementation of new treatments and therapies.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.
    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.

Requirements

  • Qualifications
    • RGN Level 1 or 2
    • Degree or Diploma in Nursing Studies
  • Experience
    • Experience in a relevant speciality
    • Leadership experience or similar
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Ability to deliver a high quality of care
    • Work as a team leader
  • Knowledge
    • Committed to own personal professional development and that of Staff Nurses and HCA's
