About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Nurse Leader to join our team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Ward Manager, you will play a key role in leading and managing a dedicated team of nurses to provide exceptional care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide senior leadership to the nursing team to monitor, maintain, and improve care standards.
  • Ensure quality patient experience and maintain workforce KPIs within the care of frail elderly patients.
  • Provide education and empowerment to the workforce, with a focus on continued improvement.
  • Lead, manage, and direct a team efficiently and effectively to provide continuity in dealing with and overseeing operational nursing issues on a daily basis.
Requirements
  • Registered nurse with post-registration study or relevant specialist qualification.
  • Experience of working at a Band 6 level with relevant acute experience.
  • Research and audit experience.
  • Leadership and team management experience.
  • Awareness of national and local targets, NSF frameworks.
