At HSBC, we provide commercial banking services to our clients across the UK and internationally. Our Corporate & Commercial Banking business serves over a million customers, ranging from small enterprises to corporates operating across borders.

This role involves managing a portfolio of non-complex Corporate Banking clients, maintaining and growing profitable long-term relationships, and managing all aspects of the relationship, including portfolio management, identifying opportunities for growth, operational and credit risk, stakeholder management, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying strategies to maintain/enhance overall relationship return and ensure early identification of financial and non-financial risk issues.
  • Support the achievement against targets for revenue generation, product alignment, customer satisfaction, and cost containment.
  • Increase HSBC's share of wallet with our clients in the UK and internationally.
  • Provide high-quality industry sector, competitor, and client-level analysis to support portfolio management and credit risk assessment.
  • Identify growth opportunities with existing clients and business development opportunities with new prospective clients.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a relevant client-facing role within Commercial Banking, proven ability in identifying and meeting customer needs, and ability to build effective networks across business areas.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Comprehensive understanding of risk management and proven experience of ensuring own/others' compliance with relevant regulatory processes.
  • Highly skilled at building and managing relationships.
  • Self-driven with the ability to manage conflicting priorities and work collaboratively to deliver to deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – and an ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
