Role Overview

We are in search of a motivated and adept Commissioning and Service Engineer to enhance our operations at Zeeco Europe Ltd. In this capacity, you will be responsible for on-site commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment while building robust relationships with end users. This role involves significant travel both domestically and internationally, allowing you to work with state-of-the-art combustion and fired equipment in the oil, gas, and petrochemical sectors, ensuring that our clients receive outstanding service and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Executing on-site commissioning of new and retrofitted equipment, along with general maintenance, troubleshooting, fault analysis, and installation oversight.
  • Preparing Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS), site visit documentation, and managing timesheets for client submissions.
  • Initiating and maintaining Zeeco's combustion products and systems, including flare systems, flare gas recovery, boiler burners, process burners, thermal oxidizers, vapor recovery systems, and related pollution control equipment.
  • Identifying potential opportunities for additional aftermarket parts and service support through commissioning and service activities.
  • Overseeing on-site turnaround/outage contracts and providing training to end-user personnel both in the classroom and on-site.
  • Complying with Company and client Health and Safety Policies, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong background in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and PLC control systems.
  • Self-Starter: Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and task execution.
  • Willingness to Travel: Prepared for extensive travel, potentially exceeding 200 days annually, for durations of 1-2 weeks.
  • Safety Awareness: Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in offshore environments, with a strong commitment to safety standards.
  • Technical Acumen: Proficient in reading and interpreting P&IDs, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, complemented by good computer proficiency.
  • Industry Background: Previous experience in combustion within the oil, gas, or petrochemical sectors is advantageous. Experience working away from home is preferred.
