Due to ongoing success and a strategic growth initiative, they are looking to hire a seasoned and highly driven Sales Account Executive to enhance their established business development team. This role focuses on maximizing opportunities with both current and prospective clients, with an expected 80:20 split favoring existing account management through the provision of automation and robotic solution sales.
As a Sales Account Executive in the Automation and Robotics sector, you will engage extensively with both internal and external stakeholders to cultivate and expand a viable business pipeline, primarily from existing clients while also attracting new ones. You will be responsible for addressing inquiries promptly and accurately to ensure project success and meet your individual sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Visit client sites to foster relationships and comprehend their current and future needs.
- Identify and propose enhancements, modifications, or upgrades that will benefit their operations and yield commercial advantages.
- Create and maintain Sales Analysis Sheets for each inquiry received.
- Report inquiry outcomes in weekly sales meetings, providing insights into future inquiries and market trends.
- Develop financially viable and commercially advantageous quotations for inquiries, ensuring internal review before submission.
- Understand budgetary constraints and timelines for each inquiry.
- Maintain regular communication with clients throughout the inquiry process.
- Organize Sales Handover meetings to transfer order details to the technical team and support the project team and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
To qualify for this dynamic and rewarding Sales Account Executive role, candidates should possess prior sales and account management experience in automation systems, ideally within the automotive sector. A minimum qualification of HND or equivalent in a relevant engineering or business discipline is expected.
With a self-driven and organized approach to time management, along with a strong commercial acumen, you will demonstrate excellent communication skills at all levels. Flexibility to travel within the UK and internationally as required is essential.
