Position Summary

We are seeking a Head of Aftercare to establish and lead a new Aftercare team responsible for the seamless transition of high-quality homes to our clients. This role offers a competitive salary along with a potential car allowance. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Delivery & Aftercare and will be pivotal in ensuring the effective resolution of defects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Aftercare coordinators and Defects' Suppliers, ensuring exceptional service during the defects period.
  • Monitor the performance of Defect Suppliers, ensuring defects are resolved within agreed service levels.
  • Conduct monthly and annual review meetings to assess performance.
  • Provide management reports and analyses regarding defects management to relevant teams.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to minimize complaints related to defects in new properties.
  • Manage the procurement and appointment of contractors for defect repairs.
  • Oversee deployment activities and provide task instructions to contractors.
  • Ensure accurate recording of costs associated with defect resolution for recovery purposes.
  • Oversee the closure of schemes and the end of defect liability processes.
Candidate Profile

We are looking for individuals who possess:

  • Proven leadership experience in a repairs or customer service role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of construction, maintenance, and repair processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective engagement with customers and partners.
  • A solid track record in customer-facing roles within the housing sector.
  • Understanding of defect management processes and construction terminology.
  • Experience with Quality Assurance measures in construction.
  • Proficiency in customer relationship management (CRM) software and Microsoft Office tools.
