About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our Hampshire CAMHS Fareham & Gosport Community Team. As a Senior Mental Health Practitioner, you will provide specialist assessments and interventions to children and young people, participate in the review of clinical policies and guidelines, and support and implement changes to practice.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive assessments of mental health specific to the needs of the service area.
  • Manage a caseload of children and young people with complex mental health needs and undertake case management/lead professional/CPA as needed.
  • Communicate with and meet the needs of families and carers as appropriate to the care group and the individual client.
  • Have experience of and specialist knowledge on interventions to lead in clinical areas.
  • Receive management supervision from the Service Manager or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills.
  • Establish professional links with other care groups and professionals.
  • Work in partnership with other agencies to gain the best person-centred outcomes for the individual.
