About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Lawyer to lead our In-House Legal Team at ACHUMAN CAPITAL, a leading construction company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all legal and contractual matters within the organization.
  • Evaluate the commercial impact of contractual issues and provide strategic advice to the management team.
  • Assess legal risks and provide proactive advice to mitigate potential issues.
  • Provide training and mentorship to the in-house solicitor and other team members.
  • Draft and negotiate commercially viable contracts with clients and suppliers.
  • Direct and advise the Commercial and Operations departments on contractual matters.
  • Review and negotiate collateral warranties, guarantees, and other ancillary contracts.
  • Manage the company's insurance policies and Trade Credit Cover.
  • Provide ongoing legal advice to the senior management team on industry-related issues.
  • Offer employment and regulatory advice to the organization.
Requirements
  • Qualified solicitor or barrister with commercial experience and a minimum of 4 years post-qualification experience.
  • Experience within the construction industry is highly desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail and drafting skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to find solutions to complex matters.
  • A people person with excellent training and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages.
