We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Lawyer to lead our In-House Legal Team at ACHUMAN CAPITAL, a leading construction company.


The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and guidance to our management team, ensuring the company's commercial interests are protected and its growth is supported.


The Role:


The ideal candidate will have:


  • Extensive experience in commercial law, with a strong background in contract negotiation and drafting;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and clients;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks;
  • Experience in managing and mentoring a team of lawyers, with a focus on continuous improvement and development;
  • Knowledge of the construction industry and its regulatory framework;
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments, including commercial and operations;
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating contracts with suppliers, sub-contractors, and clients;
  • Ability to manage and review collateral warranties, guarantees, and other ancillary contracts;
  • Experience in managing insurance policies and trade credit cover;
  • Ability to provide employment and regulatory advice to the company.


Essential Criteria:


  • Qualified solicitor or barrister with commercial experience - 4PQE+;
  • Experience within the construction industry would be a distinct advantage;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills;
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written);
  • Experience of problem-solving and finding solutions to complex matters;
  • A people's person who enjoys training and interacting with a varied range of clients and colleagues;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office packages.
