We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Commercial Lawyer to join our In-House team at ACHUMAN CAPITAL in Belfast. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial law and experience in implementing strategies, policies, and procedures for engagement terms.

The team's responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining a suite of templates for engagement terms;
  • Reviewing and negotiating engagement terms with internal and external parties to ensure alignment with company policies and professional conduct obligations;
  • Identifying and analyzing potential risks and opportunities associated with engagement terms;
  • Conducting research and benchmarking on engagement terms and risk management trends;
  • Advising on secondment processes and any risk or legal issues arising from secondments;
  • Managing ad hoc enquiries from across the global firm relating to engagement terms and client-related risk queries;
  • Dealing with information barriers;
  • Identifying and advising on key terms in client engagement terms;
  • Maintaining records of executed engagement terms.

Key Requirements

  • Qualified Lawyer in Northern Ireland and/or England & Wales;
  • Excellent contract negotiation and review skills;
  • The ability to provide business-orientated advice on compliance with contractual obligations;
  • Experience of dealing with and advising a wide range of business stakeholders in determining requirements and priorities, as well as resolving issues;
  • Excellent IT skills;
  • An enthusiasm for technology and the ability to understand, explain, and advise on technical processes;
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan ahead and manage a number of tasks at once;
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
