We are working with a leading FMCG company in North Yorkshire to recruit a Senior Indirect Buyer. This is an excellent opportunity to join their central procurement team on a 12-month fixed term basis.
Key Responsibilities:- Take ownership of procurement activities within nominated categories.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders through a business partnering approach.
- Manage stakeholder requisitions and purchase orders within IFS.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and agree category procurement strategies.
- Challenge internal requirements and external suppliers to deliver best value solutions.
- Contribute to the delivery of the Central Procurement team's purpose, including increasing the involvement and influence of Central Procurement in Group Indirect spend.
- Previous experience in an indirect procurement role with strong knowledge of procurement skills, techniques, and best practice.
- Demonstrable examples of initiating and implementing continuous improvement or change initiatives.
- Experience of negotiating contractual terms and prices with suppliers.
- Demonstrable examples of leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Able to assess and work with fluctuating priorities, balancing the needs of multiple diverse stakeholders.
- Ideal experience with facilities management as a category.
