About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Associate Planner to join our proactive, dynamic, and success-driven internal planning consultancy based in our Head Office in Ringwood.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing new sites for development potential, checking planning constraints with local authorities, and providing reports to land teams.

You will also be responsible for liaising with our design team to ensure the best approach is delivered for each scheme, attending initial planning meetings, preparing planning applications, and monitoring planning applications.

Our Associate Planners have a real influence on the success of our planning applications and schemes, and you will get to see your efforts rewarded with successful planning applications and customers who love their independent, safe, and secure retirement home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess new sites for development potential and check planning constraints with local authorities.
  • Liaise with design team to ensure best approach is delivered for each scheme.
  • Attend initial planning meetings.
  • Prepare planning applications, including research and submission.
  • Monitor planning applications and proactively answer any questions and queries.
  • Coordinate, prepare, and submit applications for discharge of conditions.
  • Support business to manage any appeals, including attending hearings.
Requirements
  • Thorough understanding of Planning Policies, procedures, and law.
  • PQE in public or private practice.
  • Member of MRTPI.
  • Degree/Diploma in Town Planning.
  • Proven negotiation, communication, and influencing skills.
