Associate Planning Director

We are seeking an experienced Associate Planning Director to join our dynamic and success-driven internal planning consultancy based in our Head Office. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in our national growth drive strategies.
Key Responsibilities- Assess new sites for development potential and collaborate with local authorities to identify planning constraints.
- Liaise with our design team to ensure the best approach is delivered for each scheme.
- Attend initial planning meetings and prepare planning applications, including research and submission.
- Monitor planning applications, proactively addressing any questions or queries.
- Coordinate and prepare applications for discharge of conditions and support the business in managing appeals.
- A thorough understanding of Planning Policies, procedures, and law, with a PQE in public or private practice.
- Knowledge of affordable housing policies and law is desirable.
- Membership of the MRTPI is essential, and a Degree/Diploma in Town Planning is preferred.
- Proven negotiation, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to liaise with a wide range of external contacts.
