Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

Salary: £18 - £20 per hour, depending on experience

Position Overview

The Lead HVAC Technician will be instrumental in maintaining the efficiency of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across the Sewell Facilities Management portfolio. This position encompasses both scheduled and urgent maintenance responsibilities, including the upkeep of split systems, VRF/VRV configurations, chillers, and refrigerated display units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform both urgent and scheduled maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration systems.
  • Address urgent tasks assigned by the Customer Care Team, ensuring all managed properties are upheld to high standards.
  • Supervise and coordinate with external contractors as necessary to fulfill business requirements.
  • Identify, document, and rectify faults, ensuring maintenance benchmarks are consistently achieved.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations to maintain a compliant property portfolio.

Essential:

  • Valid UK driving license
  • Qualifications such as Level 2 & 3 NVQ in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
  • F-Gas certification
  • Professional demeanor and positive attitude
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Proactive in both scheduled and urgent maintenance tasks
  • Strong communication skills for contractor interactions
  • Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities
  • Commitment to continuous learning and development
  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • Thorough understanding of current health and safety practices

Desirable:

  • First aid certification
  • Familiarity with building management systems (BMS)
  • Experience in plumbing and heating systems
  • 18th edition electrical certification and experience
