Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Design Engineer to support multiple projects under a multi-million-pound infrastructure portfolio in the West of Scotland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design efficient and cost-effective heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for various projects.
  • Ensure the performance and reliability of HVAC systems throughout their lifecycle.
  • Produce ventilation system design deliverables, including Ventilation Flow Diagrams (VFDs), Basis of Design (BoD)/Functional Specifications, Plant Sizing Calculations (Heating/Cooling/Fan Sizing), Control Philosophy.
  • Stay up-to-date with current codes and standards, including British Standards.
  • Work in collaboration with the project team to deliver high-quality results.

Requirements

  • Strong background in HVAC systems design, installation, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of current UK nuclear regulation and relevant good practice.
  • Knowledge of CDM regulations.
  • Knowledge of nuclear safety case requirements.
  • Theoretical and practical experience across concept design, detailed design, and construction stages in heavy industrial and/or maritime building services engineering.
  • Experience of working in the UK nuclear industry (energy or defence), particularly in the design and assessment of safety-related structures, systems, and components.
  • SC clearance or eligibility for SC clearance.
