Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Prehabilitation Therapist to join our team at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our prehabilitation services.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to deliver evidence-based therapy services and improve patient outcomes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide patient-centered and evidence-based therapy services to individuals with diverse, chronic, and complex presentations due to their cancer diagnosis and/or treatment.
  • Perform specialist inter-disciplinary assessments and treatments as an autonomous practitioner.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans to improve patient outcomes and quality of life.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care and coordination.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of prehabilitation services and protocols.
  • Participate in education and training programs to enhance professional development and stay up-to-date with best practices.
Requirements
  • Degree in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy.
  • HCPC Registration.
  • Experience in cancer care and prehabilitation services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
