About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mathematics Curriculum Leader to join our team at Phoenix Learning & Care Group. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of tailored maths curriculums for our pupils with neurodiverse needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead classroom activities, including planning, teaching, and assessing learning, particularly with 'your' class.
  • Monitor and record progress, both academically and against EHCP outcomes.
  • Work closely with pupils to keep them engaged, motivated, and inspired to reach their full potential.
  • Collaborate with Teaching Assistants to direct them in effectively supporting the pupils.
  • Support team members with the delivery of maths across the school and have oversight of the subject as a whole.
Requirements
  • An ability to teach maths to Level 2 (GCSE/Functional Skills).
  • Patience, compassion, and resilience – The pupils you teach will be neurodiverse, which can impact their learning behaviour and communication needs.
  • A driving licence – Our pupils love to learn in a wide range of settings.
  • A genuine interest in a career focused on the education of people with a wide range of needs.
