About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Lead Teacher for Mathematics. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of maths curriculums that cater to the diverse needs of our pupils.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead classroom activities, including planning, teaching, and assessing learning, particularly with a focus on maths.
  • Monitor and record progress, both academically and against EHCP outcomes.
  • Work closely with pupils to keep them engaged, motivated, and inspired to reach their full potential.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants to direct them in effectively supporting pupils.
  • Support team members in delivering maths across the school and have oversight of the subject as a whole.
Requirements
  • Ability to teach maths to Level 2 (GCSE/Functional Skills).
  • Patience, compassion, and resilience to work with neurodiverse pupils.
  • Genuine interest in a career focused on the education of people with a wide range of needs.
  • Driving licence (our pupils love to learn in various settings).
