Job Description

Job Title: Mental Health Support Worker - SEMH Needs

Job Type: Full-time, Long-term

Location: Secondary School in Barking & Dagenham

Job Description:

  • Provide support to children with SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Assist class teachers with delivering core subject material
  • Work in a highly regarded Secondary School in Barking & Dagenham

Requirements:

  • Graduate with strong academics (2:1 or 1st Class degree)
  • Passion for learning and working with young people
  • 'Can-do' attitude
  • Previous school-based experience
  • Sufficient understanding of SEMH needs including ASD, ADHD, SpLD and more

About the Role:

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate to gain further experience working with children and develop their skills in mental health support. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and other support staff to provide a high-quality learning experience for students with SEMH needs.
