Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing cost-effective and efficient procedures to purchase commodities in accordance with product specifications, services in accordance with User stated requirements, as appropriate in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Source and Evaluate Suppliers

Develop sources of supply and obtain information from suppliers concerning product and/or service specifications, price, delivery dates, etc. and ensure all applicable data is current at supplier.

  1. Prepare and Negotiate Contracts

Prepare solicitations requesting quotes, receive and evaluate bids; and negotiate optimum delivery schedules and the best combination of price, quantity discount, product quality, standard terms and conditions. May receive guidance from Buyers, Procurement Specialists and Project Managers within the organization to complete tasks.

  1. Communicate with Stakeholders

Communicate with User departments such as Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Planning, Facilities and other departments to ensure their requirements are met.

  1. Administer Contracts

Prepare definitive purchase orders, including terms and conditions, makes award, and administers contracts with suppliers within budgetary limitations.

  1. Monitor Supplier Performance

Monitor supplier performance, and prepares reports and other records pertaining to the items or services purchased, cost, delivery, product or service performance, supplier performance and/or inventories, as applicable.

  1. Resolve Issues

Resolves problems related to purchasing, delivery, receiving and payment to the supplier by taking appropriate corrective action.

Additional Responsibilities
  1. Indirect/Commercial Purchases

Responsible for indirect/commercial purchases and continuous improvement and cost savings opportunities within those order categories.
