Job Summary

Career Legal is seeking a highly skilled Revenue Controller to join our client, a rapidly growing law firm specializing in media, technology, communications, and intellectual property. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing the firm's working capital cycle, ensuring timely and accurate billing, and maintaining excellent relationships with fee earners and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • WIP Management: Meet with partners to ensure accurate time recording and billing, and arrange regular meetings to review WIP and unpaid invoices.
  • Credit Control: Liaise with partners, PAs, and the billing team to ensure pre-bills are prepared on time and final invoices are dispatched promptly.
  • Billing and Cash Collection: Take responsibility for billing against budgets and targets, and manage cash collection against targets.
  • Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, fee earners, and the billing team to ensure seamless communication and efficient billing processes.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Update ARCS daily for actions and notes on unbilled WIP and unpaid invoices, and create billing pipeline reports and cash collection forecasts.

Requirements

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Revenue Controller or in a similar role in a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of ARCS and Aderant is advantageous but not essential.
