Software Product Support Lead

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Product Support Lead to join our team. As a key member of our software engineering department, you will be responsible for leading a small support team to maintain in-service system middleware solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a small support team to maintain in-service system middleware solutions
  • Debugging and engineering investigation of complex software issues
  • Collaborate with customers to discuss solutions and resolve issues
  • Configure and maintain Linux Operating Systems (Redhat and/or Ubuntu) including Kernel configuration and testing
  • Develop software skillsets through on-the-job training or formal training
  • Work collaboratively with a team in a collaborative environment

Requirements:

  • Experience with C or C++ (at least one of these is essential), Ada, and/or JavaScript, and shell scripting languages
  • Some team-leading experience would be beneficial, but this would primarily be a technical role
  • Experience configuring and maintaining Linux OSs (Redhat and/or Ubuntu) including Kernel configuration and testing
  • A passion for software engineering, with the ability to innovate and think critically to solve complex software problems
  • Comfortable working with a team in a collaborative environment, communicating and contributing to resolve emerging issues
