Senior Design Engineer

Axis Technology and Development Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Engineer to join our team in Gilford, Northern Ireland. As a key member of our Design Team, you will be responsible for designing, manufacturing, and installing our Mushroom harvesting equipment worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:- Produce detailed designs and drawings using SolidWorks software.
- Coordinate with Senior Designers and Technicians to manage projects and reduce cost and cycle time on current plant equipment.
- Use 3D and 2D software, including Solidworks and Autocad, to create BOM's, layouts, and fabrication drawings.
- Manage and liaise with customers and suppliers on design specifics, aesthetics, and plant requirements.
- Participate in Research and Development projects and support sales through sales drawings, preliminary technical specifications, site visits, and technical advice.
- Working knowledge of stainless steel and structures.
- Precision engineering experience.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Computer literate with SolidWorks experience and analysis programmes.
- Essential: A degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years of post-graduate design experience in precision engineering.
- Desirable: Stress analysis experience, Quality Control experience, and hands-on ability.
