Senior Design Engineer

Axis Technology and Development Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Engineer to join our team in Gilford, Northern Ireland. As a Senior Design Engineer, you will be responsible for producing detailed designs and drawings using SolidWorks software, coordinating with Senior Designers and Technicians to manage projects, and reducing cost and cycle time on current plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop precision engineering solutions for the food, agricultural, and material handling industries
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets customer requirements and company standards
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, technical drawings, and bills of materials
  • Participate in research and development projects to improve product quality, profitability, and customer satisfaction
  • Provide technical support to sales teams and customers on product development and technical specifications
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of post-graduate experience in precision engineering
  • Strong knowledge of SolidWorks and other 3D and 2D design software
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel internationally for project and customer site visits
