LWE Outcome Delivery Lead (ODL) Job Description

Our client, a leading consultancy within the water industry, is seeking a highly skilled LWE Outcome Delivery Lead (ODL) to drive the operational strategy and deliver exceptional results for a portfolio of outcomes within the NWG programme.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Leadership and Performance
  • Inspire Excellence: Lead a dynamic delivery team across the LWE partners, fostering strong partnerships that support ambitious goals and desired outcomes.
  • Drive Results: Take ownership of delivery performance within your designated programme investment area, collaborating with peers to achieve broader LWE outcomes.
  1. Strategy Development and Delivery
  • Definition of Outcomes: Work with Senior Responsible Owners and Tactical Planning Managers from NWG to clearly define investment area outcomes to be delivered.
  • Efficient Delivery: Collaborate with teams in Tactical Planning to design and promote efficient programme delivery, managing opportunities, risks, and maintaining compliance.
  • Culture of High Performance: Embed a culture of excellence, continually enhancing processes to improve efficiency and adapt to evolving circumstances.
  1. Communicating and Monitoring Value
  • Celebrate Success: Capture, share, and communicate best practices across teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements

Strong leadership skills with experience in strategic planning and mobilisation of large programmes where multiple stakeholders are involved. Extensive experience in the relevant investment area and in-depth understanding of the water sector are essential. A high level of financial acumen, with experience of managing budgets in excess of £100m, is required.

Desirable

An understanding of OFWAT and associated regulatory requirements is beneficial. Possession of a Programme Management qualification, such as MSP Practitioner, and knowledge of project management knowledge areas as detailed in A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK Guide) - Fifth Edition, is ideal.
