LWE Outcome Delivery Lead (ODL) Job Description

Our client, a leading consultancy within the water industry, is seeking a highly skilled LWE Outcome Delivery Lead (ODL) to drive the operational strategy and deliver exceptional results for a portfolio of outcomes within the NWG programme.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Leadership and Performance: Lead a dynamic delivery team across the LWE partners, forging strong partnerships that support our ambitious goals and desired outcomes.
  2. Drive Results: Take ownership of the delivery performance within your designated programme investment area, collaborating with peers to achieve the broader LWE outcomes.
Strategy Development and Delivery
  1. Definition of Outcomes: Work with Senior Responsible Owners and Tactical Planning Managers from NWG to clearly define the investment area outcomes to be delivered.
  2. Efficient Delivery: Collaborate with teams in Tactical Planning to design and promote efficient programme delivery, while managing opportunities, risks, and maintaining compliance.
  3. Culture of High Performance: Embed a culture of excellence, continually enhancing processes to improve efficiency and adapt to evolving circumstances.
Communicating and Monitoring Value
  1. Celebrate Success: Capture, share, and communicate best practices across teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements

Strong leadership skills with experience in strategic planning and mobilisation of large programmes where there were several stakeholders to consider. Extensive experience in the relevant investment area and an in-depth understanding of how the water sector works. A high level of financial acumen is required with experience of managing budgets in excess of £100m.

It would be beneficial to have an understanding of OFWAT and the associated regulatory requirements. A Programme Management qualification such as MSP Practitioner and understanding of project management knowledge areas as detailed in A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK Guide) - Fifth Edition would be ideal.
