About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead Psychiatrist to join our team at South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide medical leadership and expertise in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, working closely with our clinicians and staff to deliver high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide medical leadership and guidance to the team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and services.
  • Assess and treat patients with complex mental health needs, including those with moderate to severe mental health problems.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, working closely with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service strategies, ensuring alignment with Trust objectives and priorities.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, social workers, and nurses, to provide comprehensive care and support.
  • Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives, ensuring the delivery of safe and effective care.
  • Provide training and education to staff, promoting best practice and evidence-based care.

Person Specification

  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • CCT or equivalent in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • MRCPsych Paper A and B.
  • Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management (desirable).
  • Additional clinical qualifications (desirable).
  • Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
  • Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within six months.
  • Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
  • Approved under S12 OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
