Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Experimental Fluid Mechanics

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Postdoctoral Research Assistant to join our Environmental Fluid Mechanics research group at the Department of Engineering Science, University of Oxford.
The successful candidate will work on designing and testing tidal stream turbines and platform concepts for renewable energy generation. You will be part of a large team of researchers working on wind and tidal energy projects in Oxford and the wider Supergen ORE Hub.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing laboratory turbines and coordinating their manufacture and assembly
- Leading turbine testing campaigns at Oxford and external facilities
- Conducting data analysis and contributing to the development of holistic integrated models for tidal stream turbine design
Requirements:
- Relevant PhD (or near completion) in Engineering or a related discipline
- Strong background and relevant experience in experimental fluid mechanics
- Excellent communication skills
