Job Title: Mid Weight Interior Designer

About Us: Kim Partridge Interiors is a reputable and established interior design studio seeking a talented and passionate Mid-Weight Interior Designer to join its dynamic team.

The Role:

We are looking for a skilled and creative individual to work collaboratively with senior designers, architects, and contractors on prestigious hospitality projects and high-end residential commissions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Development: Collaborate on developing and presenting creative design concepts for hospitality and residential projects.
  • Client Presentation: Prepare and present design concepts, mood boards, and presentations to clients.
  • Technical Drawing: Utilise design software (AutoCAD) to create detailed construction documents, including space plans, elevations, and joinery details.
  • Procurement: Source furniture, fixtures, equipment (FF&E), materials, and finishes and manage the FF&E procurement process from to installation.
  • Project Management: Manage project budgets and ensure adherence to established timelines.
  • Site Coordination: Coordinate seamlessly with contractors and suppliers to execute the design intent.
  • Site Visits: Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any concerns.
  • Team Collaboration: Liaise with architects, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Design Trends: Stay abreast of current design trends, materials, and technologies.

Requirements:

  • Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience working in a reputable interior design firm is required.
  • Project Experience: The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully completing hospitality and/or residential projects.
  • Design Software: Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite).

Essential Skills:

  • Space Planning: A strong understanding of space planning, furniture layouts, and a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating beautiful and functional spaces.
  • Communication: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are a must.
  • Teamwork: The ability to work independently and as part of a small team is highly valued.
  • Driving Licence: Full UK Driving Licence preferable
