The Role:

This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in all aspects of the design process, from initial client meetings to project completion. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with senior designers, architects, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate on developing and presenting creative design concepts for hospitality and residential projects.
  • Prepare and present design concepts, mood boards, and presentations to clients.
  • Utilize design software to create detailed construction documents, including space plans, elevations, and joinery details.
  • Source furniture, fixtures, equipment, materials, and finishes and manage the procurement process from selection to installation.
  • Manage project budgets and ensure adherence to established timelines.
  • Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to execute the design intent.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any concerns.
  • Liaise with architects, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Stay up-to-date with current design trends, materials, and technologies.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience working in a reputable interior design firm is required.
  • The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully completing hospitality and/or residential projects.
  • Proficiency in design software, including AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong understanding of space planning, furniture layouts, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
