About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Installation Specialist to join our team at Buy It Direct. As a key member of our delivery and installation operation, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and securing products onto our vans for delivery to customers
  • Conducting pre-delivery checks to ensure all necessary tools and equipment are on board
  • Driving our company vans or acting as a driver's mate to deliver products to customers
  • Communicating with customers to confirm delivery times and estimated arrival times
  • Delivering products to customers' rooms of choice and completing any pre-booked additional services, such as electrical installations and appliance fitting
  • Offering an unwrapping service and removing old products/appliances for recycling
  • Collating proof of delivery using electronic devices or paperwork
  • Assisting with the sorting and offloading of returns, old appliances, and packaging at the depot
  • Cleaning and maintaining our vans to ensure they are always secure and in good condition
  • Following health and safety procedures and supporting the training of other team members
Requirements
  • Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points or less
  • No significant accidents in the past 5 years
  • Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays on a 5 over 7 basis, with standard working patterns Monday to Friday
  • Polite and engaging personality when dealing with customers
  • Practical skills and a high level of physical fitness due to the physical nature of the role
  • Able to manage each installation through to completion
