We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join our Haematology/Endocrinology inpatient ward at the Countess of Chester Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the smooth operation of the ward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support patients through their hospital admission and treatment journey, providing individualized care and attention to their needs.
  • Administer medications, manage wounds and pressure sores, and develop discharge plans to ensure seamless transitions of care.
  • Collaborate with the ward team to provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and empowerment.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that enhance patient care and safety.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure effective communication and coordination of care, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with a passion for Haematology and Endocrinology, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the changing needs of the ward.
  • Competence in venepuncture and cannulation skills, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
