Position: Senior Project Operations Manager
Location: Immingham
Compensation: Up to £100,000 plus bonus & benefits
Contract Length: 18 Months +

We are seeking a Senior Project Operations Manager to enhance their dynamic team, which is poised for significant expansion. This organization contributes nearly £10 billion annually to the UK economy and manages an impressive portfolio exceeding 5,000 hectares, making this an opportune moment to join their Group Project division.
As the organization aims for ambitious growth, a robust delivery framework is essential for converting new prospects into tangible outcomes. The primary objective of this role is to guarantee effective execution of major capital initiatives, with project values ranging from £20 million to £150 million. The client manages a diverse array of sectors and locations, and your capability to optimize project returns, expedite delivery, minimize capital expenditure, and swiftly respond to commercial prospects will be critical for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Initial Support:
- Assist the commercial lead in developing preliminary delivery strategies, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Clarify project scope and operational requirements.
- Supervise initial studies and assessments to support the commercial lead.
Project Execution:
- Utilize consultants and contractors in a cost-effective manner.
- Engage proactively with stakeholders across functions to ensure effective communication.
- Identify and address risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop work packaging and tendering strategies.
- Create effective regional resource plans.
- Ensure proper management of reporting and documentation.
- Manage costs to deliver optimal value.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and manage changes to project scope in a controlled manner.
Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience managing capital projects exceeding £50 million.
- Over 10 years of post-graduate experience in Project Management.
- Experience in consulting or client-side roles is advantageous.
- Hands-on approach to critical deliverables.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with a comprehensive understanding of functional drivers.
- Proactive, energetic personality.
- Able to operate effectively within a lead client framework.
- Willingness to travel and be based in Immingham for three days per week (transport and accommodation costs covered).
