Job Description

Job Title: Senior Project Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team at Shorterm Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the overall execution and management of our delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Major Projects Portfolio to meet key programme milestones
  • Ensure the Major Project delivery team and individual projects are suitably resourced
  • Proactively manage, coach, mentor and develop team members to enhance personal growth, technical skills and knowledge
  • Responsible for approving the scope of works, the plan and the target cost
  • Provide clear leadership to the Project Teams and control the activities of the Teams against budget
  • Deploy safe systems of work
  • Optimise the resource plan
  • Manage project cost controls, managing the profit and loss to agreed margins
  • Own the Major Projects company procedures and drive continuous improvement
  • Establish working relationships with the supply chain
  • Carry out site inspections
  • Manage safety, health and environmental matters

Requirements:

  • Highly mobile with a full UK Driving License
  • Commercially orientated
  • Proven track record of supporting teams in a demanding customer-focused operational environment
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel and Project
  • Extensive experience in project management, ideally with Prince2 or similar
  • Electrical Qualification (HNC/HND minimum) or similar
  • Ideal experience with SAP to 11kV or 33kV or 132kV
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and able to motivate staff

Working Arrangements:

You will be in the office 3 times per week. At other times, you will be on site or at client offices or working from home.

About the Role:

This role would suit an experienced Senior Project Engineer, Operations Manager, or a Senior Site Manager or Construction Manager.
