About the Role

CityFibre is seeking a highly skilled Senior Commercial Manager to join our team. As a key member of our commercial function, you will play a critical role in supporting the commercial and contractual management of a portfolio of telecoms projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the commercial resources of assigned projects, ensuring effective budgeting and expenditure control.
  • Support the authorisation and submission of project variations, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Assess, review, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks, providing robust and timely risk management.
  • Provide commercial and contractual expertise to contracts, including valuation certification, correspondence, claims, budget monitoring, and contract performance data.
  • Coach, develop, and mentor junior members of the team, promoting commercial excellence and best practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in senior commercial management, with a strong background in procurement and contract management.
  • Working knowledge of NEC3 ECC forms and experience in telecoms, civil engineering, or utilities.
  • Effective negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to find alternative solutions and resolve issues within contractual terms.
  • Experience in overseeing large capital expenditure projects and using data to provide financial reporting with actionable insights.
  • HNC/HND level education or equivalent.
