About the Role

The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking a highly organized and efficient Administrative Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Senior Management Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for the Senior Management Team, making appointments and organizing diaries to ensure availability and workspace.
  • Provide efficient and effective administrative and secretarial support to the SMT, including organizing meetings, taking minutes, and distributing relevant papers.
  • Liaise with hospital departments, partner organizations, and external agencies to promote and facilitate smooth working relationships.
  • Assist in the organization of diary and workload management, ensuring effective communication within the multidisciplinary team.
  • Receive and deal effectively with all incoming post, telephone calls, and personal enquiries, using own initiative to assess urgency and prioritize tasks.
  • Liaise with the print room to design and produce leaflets, forms, and posters for use in the UHL Community Hospital sites.
  • Carry out DSE assessments as required for the team.
  • Meet targets agreed within annual appraisal and objectives, demonstrating an ability to manage workload and meet targets.

Person Specification

  • GCSE English and maths Grade C or above or equivalent.
  • Good standard of written and spoken English.
  • RSA Level II Typing & Word Processing or equivalent.
  • Computer skills - Experience in using Microsoft Packages.
  • 2 years' experience and knowledge of standard office practices, procedures, and protocols.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Demonstrates flexible approach to working requests.
