About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Engineer to join our team at DcTek Inc. as a key member of our Data Engineering department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement large-scale data warehousing solutions using Snowflake cloud data warehouse and AWS S3.
  • Develop and maintain complex SQL scripts using statistical aggregate functions and analytical functions to support ETL in Snowflake cloud data warehouse.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
  • Perform performance tuning of Snowflake data warehouse with Query Profiler, Caching, and Virtual data warehouse scaling.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements to our data architecture.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Data Warehousing (DWH) with a strong background in SQL, including stored procedures and complex queries.
  • 4 years of experience with Snowflake cloud data warehouse and AWS S3.
  • Experience with SCD Techniques (type1, type2, type3) and bulk loading/unloading data into Snowflake tables.
  • Knowledge of Snowflake Cloud Architecture, SnowSQL, and SNOWPIPE for continuous data ingestion.
  • Ability to handle large and complex data sets from sources like AWS S3.
  • Experience with performance tuning and query optimization.
  • Redshift knowledge is a plus, and familiarity with AWS EC2 Lambda is a bonus.
