Merchants' Academy is a vibrant and dedicated multi-academy trust located in Bristol, established in September 2017 through the merger of CGS Trust and Merchants' Academy Trust. The Trust oversees eight academies, serving 3,500 students and employing 700 staff, with a mission to make a meaningful and lasting impact on the lives of young individuals from some of Bristol's most underprivileged communities.

We are seeking applications from exceptional candidates to become part of a dedicated and enthusiastic team at Merchants' Academy.

The role entails collaborating closely with the Attendance Manager, the Administrative Team, and the Senior Leadership Team to provide comprehensive clerical, administrative, and financial assistance for the Academy. Responsibilities will include managing the Isolation Room, which involves monitoring and tracking student attendance.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of GCSE Grade C in Maths and English (or equivalent qualifications).
  • Proven experience in general office and administrative tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently managing personal workload.
  • Experience handling confidential and sensitive information, with an understanding of the professional standards required for tasks such as notetaking and minute-taking.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to perform under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.

Knowledge of working in an educational environment would be advantageous, although comprehensive training will be provided.
