Job Summary:

Athona Ltd is seeking a skilled Oncology Nurse to join our team as a Band 5 agency nurse. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing high-quality care to patients in need of chemotherapy treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional patient care, prioritizing their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, identifying patients' needs and developing individualized care plans.
  • Administer chemotherapy treatments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocols.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting understanding and empowerment.

Requirements:

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance.
  • Proven experience in oncology nursing, with a focus on chemotherapy care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
