About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered General Nurse to join our Haematology team at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our department.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assessment and Administration of Chemotherapy
    Conduct thorough assessments of patients to determine their suitability for chemotherapy treatment, ensuring their physical condition and blood parameters are acceptable for treatment.
  2. Safe Administration of Intravenous Chemotherapy
    Administer intravenous chemotherapy in accordance with Trust and National guidelines, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care.

Requirements
  • Registered Adult Nurse on the NMC Register
    You must be a registered adult nurse on the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) register.
  • Previous Experience in Acute Secondary Care
    You must have previous experience working in an acute secondary care setting, preferably in a haematology or oncology department.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
    You must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
