Mental Health Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Community Mental Health Team at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust.
Key Responsibilities- Provide occupational therapy interventions for referred clients using evidence-based, client-centered principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions.
- Complete OT functional assessments and support completion of funding applications.
- Hold a small Care Coordinator caseload alongside a focused Occupational Therapy caseload.
- Participate in the Shared Care rota.
- Promote and develop the role of Occupational Therapy within the clinical area, supporting best practice within the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT).
- Regularly supervise OT students and provide education and upskilling to community support workers.

Person Specification- Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Postgraduate level study/training.
- Training in the use of standardized occupational therapy assessment tools, including MOHO, VdT MoCA, and COPM.
