About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Support Engineer to join our team at Barclays Bank. As a key member of our digital landscape, you will play a critical role in driving innovation and excellence in data management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and analyze data issues related to quality, lineage, controls, and authoritative source identification.
  • Execute data cleansing and transformation tasks to prepare data for analysis.
  • Design and build data pipelines to automate data movement and processing.
  • Develop and apply advanced analytical techniques, including machine learning and AI, to solve complex business problems.
  • Document data quality findings and recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Technical expertise in Data Warehousing methodologies with strong understanding of ETL tools, preferably Ab Initio and Teradata.
  • Good understanding of application support processes and ITIL framework processes.
  • Understanding of Observability and Monitoring solutions.
  • Working knowledge of IT Infrastructure components and API frameworks.
  • Ability to construct SQL queries and interrogate databases.
