A fantastic permanent opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Psychiatrist specializing in Rehabilitation to join a private inpatient facility. This is a full-time position where the successful candidate will oversee a maximum of 24 female patients, currently managing 15 individuals (all inpatient, with some under section 3 of the mental health act).
Position: Consultant Psychiatrist in Rehabilitation
Hours: Full time – 37.5 hours per week
Setting: Responsible for a maximum of 24 female patients, currently managing 15 (all inpatient, with some under section 3 of the mental health act).
Location: Birmingham
We are seeking a candidate who possesses:
- MBBS or an equivalent medical qualification along with MRCPsych
- Full GMC registration with a license to practice
- Registration on the specialist register in General Adult or Forensic Psychiatry
- Experience in inpatient environments dealing with significant mental health challenges
- Thorough understanding of the Mental Health Act and its Code of Practice, as well as the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and its Code of Practice
- A commitment to ongoing professional development
