Rehabilitation Consultant Psychiatrist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team in Birmingham, England. As a Rehabilitation Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing expert care to patients with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the process of referral and admission, including contribution to pre-admission assessments of adults.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the team, ensuring high-quality care and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective rehabilitation programs.
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments to ensure patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

Requirements:

  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree and MRCPsych.
  • Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
  • Registered on the specialist register within General Adult or Forensics.
  • Experience working in inpatient settings with people with significant mental health issues.
  • Knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, along with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Practice.
  • Commitment to continued professional development.
