This is an exciting opportunity to join AXIS Insurance, a leading global provider of specialty lines insurance and reinsurance, as a Claims Handler in our Commercial Insurance division.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced claims professional to handle personal injury and property damage claims, as well as claims for other liability classes, for a wide variety of professions and commercial clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Claims Handling: Handle claims in a lead capacity from first advice to final settlement, including full analysis of coverage and liability, reserve evaluations, and formulating resolution strategy.
- Client Relationships: Work closely with clients, market leaders, and brokers to ensure a premier claims service is maintained.
- Collaboration: Liaise with risk managers, in-house counsel, and experts, including high-value, complex claims, under the supervision of the PI & Liability Claims Manager.
- Claims Management: Handle Lloyd's Syndicate, IUA, and company claims, and engage with other stakeholders, including claims operations, underwriters, actuaries, and Internal Audit, in relation to claims information, MI, and other projects.
- Experience: Experience in dealing with personal injury and/or medical malpractice claims or similar in either a claims lead or legal advisory capacity.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to articulately present in meetings.
- Relationship Building: Ability to develop and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize and organize workload.
- Judgment: Ability to exercise sound judgment.
- Industry Experience: Ideally, you will have worked in a syndicate, company, or a broker and gained sufficient practical experience in the market place to independently perform the above duties and responsibilities.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of CLASS/ECF2, and experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Professional Qualifications: Legal or professional qualification such as ACII.
